Almost 200 dedicated volunteers along with a small number of full and part-time staff, deliver fine music to over 377,000 listeners (cumulative) monthly (McNair, 2017), 24 hours a day, from our premises at the Abbotsford Convent.

You can submit a volunteer application form here.

Once you have submitted the volunteer application form, it will be assessed and, should there be any suitable volunteer opportunities, an appointment made for a short interview.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer presenter, you will also be required to do a short music quiz and an audition recording. Your application and audition tape will be considered by the Volunteer Resources working group who will refer you to training in broadcasting.

As you can imagine, competition for volunteer positions at 3MBS is strong. 3MBS strives to be the premier supporter and broadcaster of classical music experiences in Victoria. Consequently we aim to recruit the volunteers who can help us achieve this goal.  3MBS reserves the right not to accept applicants.
