The Heidelberg Wind ensemble unites exciting programming with the unique sound of the wind band, which you can experience in the sonorous setting of the Robin Boyd and Frederick Romberg designed church, St George East Ivanhoe, Warncliffe Road, East Ivanhoe.

Be delighted in Concert Three by a program including the music of Percy Grainger, Steve Bryant, Malcolm Arnold, Julie Giroux, Gordon Jacob and David Keeffe.

Heidelberg Wind Ensemble conducted by Dr. Joanne Heaton will take you on a journey with an exciting program of music by Australian, American, and English composers.

The program features a new work by the Australian composer – David Keeffe: “a dance for where the ground is thickly shaded”.


The English composers are represented with two wonderful works: English Dances for Band by Malcolm Arnold and the thrilling Concerto for Timpani and Band by Gordon Jacob featuring as timpani soloist - our own John Wise.
