Spirit and Opportunity

The Heidelberg Wind ensemble unites exciting programming with the unique sound of the wind band, which you can experience in the sonorous setting of the Robin Boyd and Frederick Romberg designed church, St George East Ivanhoe, Warncliffe Road, East Ivanhoe.

The concert features music composed over a period of 200-years beginning with Beethoven’s “Leonore” Overture No. 3 Op.72, of 1806, looking to the stars and the heavens in works by Dello Joio: “Concertante”; Biebl’s “Ave Maria”; Dinh’s “Spirit and Opportunity”, Tull’s “The Final Covenant”, Strens’ Danse Funambulesque and Cichy’s “Galilean Moons” – the four Galilean moons of Jupiter.
