Music and language studies have been a part of Holly’s life since she was a teenager, with a special interest in choral work and the guitar.
Holly began her foray into radio on 3RPP (Radio Port Philip) presenting a live children’s show from 2010 –2012. Then in March 2015, after completing the 3MBS trainee presenter course, Holly began presenting a variety of programs including Illuminations, a special six-week program she created called Heartstrings about various guitar styles and Daybreak on Fridays, which she has been presenting since late 2016. For a brief time in 2016, Holly coordinated the 3MBS bequest program to encourage others to add a gift to 3MBS in their wills.
Holly came to Australia from the USA in 1976 and lived in Ballarat for many years, working as a teacher and professional fundraiser. She completed an MBA and finished her career in senior management roles for a number of charities and arts organisations. From 1998 – 2001 Holly was the fundraising manager for the VCA, before serving as CEO for both Menzies Caring for Kids and Variety Victoria. Currently Holly sings with a local ladies’ choir, continues her French studies and is also learning Dutch.
