Adrian McEniery is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium, has won numerous vocal awards, is a Churchill Fellow, and has been twice nominated for Green Room Awards.
He has worked for all the major Opera companies of Australia and New Zealand, and includes in his repertoire a number of Australian and world premiere performances. He has performed extensively as a concert artist including programmes at St Martin in the Fields, London, and with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Pro Arte Australia, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth International Festivals, Brisbane Biennial, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and many of Australia’s Symphony Orchestras.
A versatile artist, Adrian has most recently appeared with Pinchgut Opera in Sydney, Melbourne Opera, and as Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller in the children’s musical “Thomas and the Hidden Treasure” touring Asia, the Middle East and Melbourne. He also works with Gertrude Opera as a mentor and colleague to the Young Artists of The Opera Studio Melbourne.
As well a presenting Friday Daybreak every fortnight, he is currently the Program Manager for 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne
