Details

Gemma Sisia grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in northern N.S.W. and after university worked as a volunteer in Uganda. From that experience, she founded a school for disadvantaged children in Tanzania in 2002, starting with three pupils. Today, The School of St Jude, is thriving with nearly 2000 pupils.
In June last year, Gemma was back in Australia and launched Madeleine Kelly’s book The School That Hope Built. She was back again last month to share updates and news about St Jude’s.
