Reflections: Dr Katrina Watson OAM

Dr Katrina Watson OAM, was the first female-trained gastroenterologist in Victoria. Her contribution in this field led to her appointment as Chairperson of the National Digestive Foundation which pushed government on health issues including bowel cancer screening and hepatitis B and C. She was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2018 for services to medicine. In retirement, she’s written her first novel, The Bones.
