Reflections: Alexandre Da Costa in conversation with Sarah Barzel
Canadian Alexandre Da Costa’s debut at age 9 on violin and piano brought him recognition as a musical prodigy. By 18 he had a Master’s degree in violin from Québec Conservatory, going on to study in Madrid with legendary violin teacher Zakhar Bron. He’s added conducting to his list of talents and is the music director and chief conductor of the Longueuil Symphony Orchestra in Quebec.
Alexandre talks about his career as a pianist, violinist, teacher and conductor, performing with orchestras around the world.
