David Barnard is an acclaimed pianist and teacher. He graduated at the age of eighteen from the Flinders Street School of Music in Adelaide, then worked in the UK for thirteen years, where he established a career as a collaborative artist and opera repetiteur. He was engaged in many projects, supporting community involvement in music and encouraging young people to learn. He returned to Australia to work at the State Opera of South Australia then moved to Melbourne to teach at both Melbourne and Monash universities.
