Last week fortyfivedownstairs announced not only its reopening but an exciting season of theatre for early 2021. Rather than reimagine everything, the beloved city theatre will simply pick up where they left off.

In January you can expect live music recitals from January 14 and a theatre production of Langford Wilson’s Burn This.

In February a new farce from the Die Roten Punkte pair Clare Bartholomew and Daniel Tobias titled The Anniversary, about the golden wedding anniversary of a couple who literally want to kill each other – led by acclaimed director Peter Houghton. And Nicci Wilks presents her new one-woman play RUNT about a small, undernourished woman who determines to take on the world.

In March Elizabeth Walley’s The Trauma Project examines the writer’s reaction to witnessing a real-life homicide.
