Spring Auction of Jewellery, Ceramics, Textiles and Art Objects

The Spring Auction will be held at the Former Tearooms in the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens on Saturday 4 November 2pm-5pm.

Gold Camp Castlemaine is a group of people who care passionately about the goldfields heritage landscape of Camp Reserve. Camp Reserve was the former military parade ground of the Government Camp, established by order of Governor Charles La Trobe in 1851. It played a part in the wave of rebellion that culminated in Eureka. This place is now faced with being redeveloped into a modern sports complex.

Gold Camp Castlemaine seeks to advocate for this rare and precious landscape. This Spring Auction is our third auction, and will feature jewellery and decorative arts pieces. 100% of profits will go towards advocacy. If a good outcome can be negotiated without VCAT, our funds will be put into interpretive signage and heritage protections in Castlemaine
