Reflections: Paul Kildea

Paul Kildea, conductor, writer and arts administrator, prefers to describe himself simply as ‘a musician’. Now Artistic Director of Musica Viva, this very busy musician has also written a major biography of Benjamin Britten, and in 2018 authored Chopin’s Piano, a fascinating account of a musical prodigy, pianism, 19th century European history, and looted treasure. Paul conducted Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at this year’s Adelaide Festival. He joins Ted Davies in the first of our new 2021 series of Reflections at 4pm Sunday 7 March, repeated 3pm Friday 12 March.
