Details

Principal oboist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for over forty years, a prominent member of the woodwind section and recently retired from the orchestra, Jeff Crellin has been a key figure in Melbourne’s musical life for decades. He’s played with many of the world’s great conductors and performers but there was a time when his career might have taken a very different turn – having sung as a boy soprano with The Australian Opera.

Ted Davies talks to Jeff Crellin about music, musicians and life after the MSO on Reflections, at 4pm Sunday 20 June, repeated 3pm Friday 25 June.
