Reflections Guest: Professor Sarah Wilson

As a student, Sarah Wilson was encouraged to become a pianist, but her interest in science led her to studying neuroscience. Fortunately she was able to combine her two passions, pioneering music neuroscience research in Australia, showing how music can enhance brain function in healthy individuals and facilitate recovery after brain injury. Professor Wilson is the head of the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences and Director of Music, Mind and Wellbeing at the University of Melbourne. Sarah spoke about her career and the benefits of performing and listening to music, with Susan Porter on Reflections and you can hear their conversation by clicking on the arrow below.
